Run for a Table Officers Position

Ensure an active executive council by nominating teachers who will take an active role in making the Mathematics Council benefit all mathematics teachers. 

Nominations for the following table officers are being accepted: 

• • When the AGM is held in 

    • an odd year: Vice-president (Professional Development), Treasurer

    • an even year: President, Vice-president (Publications), Secretary

📅 Nomination deadline is May 15.

In the event that no nomination forms are received by the deadline, MCATA is free to accept nominations up to and during the AGM election process. Should a vacancy continue to exist after the AGM, the Executive is able to then appoint a Table Officer from the body of MCATA membership.

If an election is necessary, it will be conducted at the Annual General Meeting of the MCATA which is run during the council’s annual conference.  A special Mathematical Monday Bulletin featuring the platform of each candidate may, if a candidate desires, be sent to all members, near the beginning of the school year.   If a candidate wishes to include their platform in the Mathematical Monday Bulletin, it should be emailed to contact@mathteachers.ab.ca, by June 15th.  Platforms should be a maximum of 500 words in length.

Nominators and Nominees must be current MCATA members.
